This place flew under my radar, but I get it because it's Audubon's best kept secret. I'll say it plain and simple, "American" style restaurants can be a mis leading genre...in my opinion it means there is something for everyone and boy does The Cage deliver and I don't need to drive into Philthydelphia for a good meal Cocktails were Food menu was Service and ambience
So I have been dying to visit this restaurant since I’ve heard good things about it from friends and coworkers. I finally went this past week and it was incredible. The vibes are great here, the decor and aesthetic are beautiful. The food was so good as well as the staff. Overall it was a wonderful experience! I definitely will be back!
We came here for my brother's birthday and it was a fantastic experience all around! The food was amazing, we ordered some apps which filled us up and then I got one of the sandwiches for my meal which was so good even as leftovers the next day! I don't remember the name of my drink but it was sweet and mixed so well! For dessert my brother was sent an espresso martini with "happy birthday" sprinkled on top, it was such a nice touch! I also ordered a cappuccino for after dinner and it was truly a great cappuccino! Definitely would love to come here again!
Great atmosphere. I had the delmonico sandwich and loved it. Fries seem fresh and made in house. Other picture was of the risotto which was also great. We had specialty drinks that looked and tasted great. Good amount of alcohol in them too. I'd highly recommend.
I had the Almond Crust Salmon. It was so delicious! It's a bit loud, but the atmosphere is still great. It would probably be an ideal place for a party. I'll definitely be going back to try more food.
We recently tried out The Cage in Audubon and had a pretty pleasant experience. I would rather rate them a 4.5, but as I don't want to take down their score with a 4, I went with a 5. The service was great once they got to our table, but it did take them at least 5 minutes to say hi and grab us some water and our drink order. (We had lunch reservation and they had a decent crowd, but by no means were a full house.) The Tuna Poke appetizer was delicious, but the Crab Cake entree and Whiskey Burger weren't the best we've had, which is why I'd rate them a bit less than a 5 star. The server was kind and attentive once she came over and the ambiance was fun and relaxing all at the same time. We will be going back and would like to give some other menu items a try.
Awesome spot for a night out with pals or the girls!! The food is all reasonably priced, American style and incredibly delicious. Also highly recommend grabbing a drink- they have multiple themes including a whole book of options inspired by Greek Mythology which was super fun. Staff was polite, providing the perfect amount of attention throughout the night. A bit far from where I live but will definitely be back!
The place is absolutely beautiful and delicious. If you are a big fan of raw tuna ,The tuna poke is definitely the best to start.Also the tequila ribs with roasted corn is from heaven. Definitely amazing. The decoration and ambience is spectacular as well.
